One point though . . . I tried the free software solution quoted above but was frustrated with the limited feature set. I eventually ended up with PromptDog teleprompter software. They even offer DIY teleprompter plans as a free download.
Hope this helps someone.

I agree that video is here to stay, but one reality about real estate video that I find challenging is the static subject matter. In my view, videos often turn out best when one is filming a moving subject, and the only movement in a real estate video is the movement of the camera person from room to room. I wonder whether future technologies will include some interactive video element that will let us overcome this?

A lot of times it comes out way too dark. Do you ever run into this when filming the inside of homes you are presenting?

I was also thinking of doing home tours (all over the city, not just one home) and turning that into a video blog post.

I received the most comments I’ve ever received on one post about a local event and can’t wait to start doing more off-the-cuff video tours of neighborhoods and homes. Going to make the investment in a FLIP so I can keep one with me all the time (my wife keeps stealing our camera to record precious memories of our child…ok, I GUESS that’s acceptable) and don’t have to battle with compatibility issues so much. GREAT POST!

I recently observed an excellent video presentation made with a stationary video camera but plenty of movement (moving cars and people, for example). That would solve the shaking video camera issue, and I want to try it as soon as I find my Flip camera. Haha.
