If you’re mind was properly set that you will lose weight then I don’t see any reason on why you couldn’t achieve it.

Several points that hit home and will hopefully help me out. Consistancy, having a plan, and using other people like a personal trainer. If you are going to use blogging as a way to help drive more business, it’s smart to have an “blog” outline that should be implamented into your overall business plan.

Hemingway would agree; he allegedly wrote a lot while standing up. He was also big on writer’s discipline – setting a schedule and sticking to it. As Jim points out, this works in blogging, too.

I would like to say “as little as possible,” but the truth is: “not as much as I would like.”
I used to be able to spend 2-3 hours a day reading, learning and writing. Now, with the demand of interest in my training, I am lucky to get 1hr. So what I do to make up for it in my writing is, I have a stack of ideas (dozens) half sketched out on my desk and I work on one a little at a time, collaborating with Jason on most of it. Then I will pound it out late at night before I post it. I always post new articles in the wee hours to see what kind of leverage it gets for the full day.
I read and learn when I am on hold, or if I get flaked on. My participation commitment has waned for sure, and it is the weak point in my personal marketing effort. I feel guilty that I am not reading as much as I am writing, because I know that there is so much great stuff out there that I am missing out on.

I have been so incredibly busy lately and apologize for not getting back with you on the tomato blog. I don’t even have the time to post to my blog anymore…I’m developing 10 more real estate websites, this new forum, and trying to keep the real estate deals flowing. I would love to have you as the first blog member in my forum! I hope to grow this into the future and it could potentially throw you a few leads (as if you needed them). I’m sure your familiar with the forum atmosphere and unlike many of the other real estate forums out there, I am allowing self promotions. You could upload the trademarked tomato as your avatar and write a quick pitch about your tomato blog, with up to 5 links in the signature. Love to have you Jim! Join by visiting the link attached to my name below. Hope to see you and I apologize again for the communication problems I have.
Sincerely,
Vincent Talerico

I think the 2 hour rule is good for large “articles”, but not always necessary for short posts. I guess it depends on your model and goals.
Lately, I have been spending 45 min. on research, 1 hour writing/posting, and 30 min. on commenting/community building… When possible, I try to keep to this regiment each day.
How much would you say you spend on blogging related stuff each day Jim?

As I am new to this, I figure I should prowl around here rather than re-invent the wheel (#4).
