Just because there are a lot of bloggers that are “trying to be the expert” doesn’t mean that some aren’t fulfilling the role. My career is “filling the void in education for REALTORS,” but you will notice that I have never used my articles to pitch the products and services I may happen to provide. The mission of the Tomato has always been to educate without commercial. How else can I get anyone to believe that the information I am broadcasting can be trusted?

I commented yesterday but it did not get posted. I just wanted to say that there are so many blogs about blogging that I think everyone is trying to be “The expert”. There is a huge void in education for REALTORS in the use of technology. Vendors try to fill the void by offering “tech trainings” that are really infomercials for their products. IC is trying to fill the void, just like you are.

For this industry, blogging is pretty new. I imagine the wanna be experts are pretty new as well. By that I mean the media types who bring us the article you fisked rather nicely.

Internet Crusade… If you are going to keep misinforming your audience, I feel that it may be time for a name change:
You seem to have lost your impact with the use of “Crusade” in your name.
“Crusade: A vigorous concerted movement for a cause or against an abuse.”
