I had no idea about the use of the hashtag on Twitter. While I’m a little confused on how using abbreviations after it would work, I can see otherwise how this might help me in my marketing efforts. Thanks.

There are lot of people which use twitter to promote there respective business, but real estate folks have remain behind in using it. We should be taking advantage of all the modern marketing channels available to us like twitter, facebook and other social networks.

I’m still not convinced that twitter is that effective of a tool for real estate marketing, especially the way most agents are trying to use it. I set up a twitter profile for myself, and suddenly have hundreds of followers, most agents from out of state who I’m sure don’t care one lick about what I’m tweeting. It seems most people think its just a popularity contest, see how many people you can get to follow you.

So many people are using social networking like a hammer, just whacking away, when it can be a fine-tuned instrument for marketing. Thanks for posting solid and specific how-to’s on this hot topic!

It makes your Twitter time and efforts more efficient, and will help people associate your name or business with certain topics of interest. Thanks for sharing!

My question is, is this the best use of your time. Should you not be creating content and SEO a website with your time instead. My point is, where is your time best spent in this world of web 2.0 and the internet?
I am always doing something, it is a matter of what is the best bang for the buck, measured in time spent. What would be a list of priorities that is the best way to spend your time to promote?
