Blogs are out there to be a personal city guide of your area. Give us something personal and tangible. There are many sites that give basics such as searching for homes. The consumer wants raw new info. Think how you would feel if you jumped on your home page tomorrow and you saw a bunch of new info about something that interests you. Plain and simple.

You have done good work to present this stuff here for us. I think there are true reasons that the sellers want to take it to the next level and it is the right time for them here.

I’m not saying “sell, sell, sell.”
I have one philosophy: “Solve. Don’t sell!”
When you engage online, be personable, solve people’s problems, and communicate (do you respond when people leave comments? If you don’t, you probably should. Something as little as this builds great respect for your new readers)… Just my thoughts…

Without content, you have nothing to sell your customers.

The same rules apply to real estate blogs as it does to dog grooming blogs; every niche market has the same ability to engage, enlighten and enrich your visitor with your passion. It is through this interaction that you gain a trustworthyness not found in other mediums. Having fresh content posted in a timely matter doesn’t hurt either (search engines luv this practise)positioning in the SERP’s is very important.

I think many real estate professionals are still struggling with what to put on their blogs and websites. They get excited and then leave the template up like it’s go to work like magic. WRONG!
Hopefully they all picked up the concept that having an effective online presence requires some activity, especially in the realm of content creation.

You don’t really have a product.
isn’t your content your product?
